Following the failure of his ambition to win the UEFA Champions League with Paris Saint Germain and used it as a Launchpad to win the Ballon d’Or, the injured Brazil’s Neymar is contemplating a return to Spain, possibly to his former club, FC Barcelona.

Information from the heartland of Catalonia in Spain reveals that the Brazilian has already informed former teammate, Lionel Messi about his desire to return.

He has been unsettled since his famous grand transfer to PSG at the beginning of the current season, having on-field clashes with teammates, especially Edinson Cavani.

It was also revealed that Neymar claimed that the quality of the French Ligue 1 was far worse than he anticipated.

The Brazilian captain who is nursing injury that could keep him out of the World Cup is also reportedly being eyed by Barcelona’s Spanish rivals, Real Madrid.

Real are said to be the main party interested in taking him away from the French capital.

However, according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Neymar has told Messi that he wants to return to Barcelona– dealing a huge blow to Los Blancos.

The 26-year-old harbours aspirations of winning the Ballon d”Or when Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi get towards the end of their careers.

But to do so he would have to win the Champions League – which is impossible this year with PSG.
