The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Nigeria Sports Development Fund Inc. (NSDFI), Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has sent appreciation to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and its Executive Chairman, Babatunde Fowler, for the massive support they have given the Basic Olive Opportunity Sports Training (BOOST).

Chief Iwuanyanwu said, “I saw the jersey on a visit to Port Harcourt and it was so resplendent on the kid wearing it. It was so colourful I had to send for the girl wearing it only to find out that it was the jersey the FIRS donated to our organisation.”

For an institution like the FIRS supporting sports with the 5,000 jersey donated to our programme, it is massive. It shows their faith and believe in the future of the children that will be wearing it nationwide. It will also imprint in the children that ‘it pays to pay your tax.’

Chief Iwuanyanwu was officially presented every colour of the jerseys which made him so happy. At a point, he said, “I don’t know how to thank the FIRS enough. I am so happy. I wish I was a child to enjoy the grace that the new generation of athletes will be enjoying.”

The Director General of the NSDFI, Olajide Fashikun, a former Zamalek SC of Egypt player presented the jerseys to Chief Iwuanyanwu.
