SCORING AGAINST CROATIA AT WORLD CUP WILL BE A BIRTHDAY GIFT, SAYS IGHALO

Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo who will turn 29 years on the day Nigeria will face Croatia at Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup, looks forward to the game to symbolically mark his birthday.

The match which is Nigeria’s opening match at the World Cup will hold on June 16. The former Watford of England striker has hinted he will be eying an appearance against the European side so as to make his day look fulfilled.

But first, he must make the initial shortlist and then the final 23-man squad. He told www.sportsvillagesquare.com that he would be very glad to make the Coach Gernot Rohr’s list.
“I will be glad celebrating my birthday with a victory against Croatia. It’s obvious that day will be my day and I won’t disappoint my fans who are party ready. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and see how it goes” Ighalo hinted.
