PLATEAU UNITED OVERWHELMS CAMEROON’S EDING SPORTS

The fire on the plateau is still raging as Nigeria’s champions, Plateau United had an emphatic 3-0 defeat of the visiting Eding Sports SC of Cameroon in Jos on Sunday.

Plateau United got rewarded for their early pressure when they were awarded a penalty after Cameroon’s Eyenga Alain handled the ball in the penalty box in his bid to deny the home side a shot at goal.

Tosin Omoyele’s spot kick was stopped by goalkeeper Ndjome Lionel, but Elijah Oghene was within the area to slot in the rebound and put Plateau United ahead. .

Sunday Ingbede doubled the lead midway in the second half before Joshua Obaje wrapped up the victory dip into the injury time.
