PSG Moves to Settle Neymar’s Ego War With Cavani

Officials of PSG are making spirited efforts to end the ‘ego war between their two high profile Brazilian players, Neymar and Edinson Cavani which came to fore as both argued over set-piece duty in a match with Lyon.

 

Neymar took exception to Cavani taking a penalty in the 2-0 win against Lyon and their dispute continued after the game as they had to be separated in the dressing room bringing to memory similar burst-up Neymar had with Nelson Semedo in his last days at FC Barcelona while the team had a training session in Miami, Florida in the US.

The incident, which was caught in video camera, went viral. It occurred with Neymar seen scuffling with Semedo and the Brazilian sensationally storming out of training.

In the current ‘war’ French sports publication, L’Equipe, reported that the club officials were worried and the club’s sporting director, Antero Henrique and team coordinator Maxwell will soon meet to find the best solution.
