Title-chasing Akwa United Coach, Maikaba, Clocks Plus One

Abdu Maikaba, the coach of continental ticket chasing Akwa United had a party with his players and club officials Thursday as he added another year to his age.

“I am very happy for this day and give thanks to God”, he told Sports Village Square on telephone.

He was particularly delighted with his club management and players for the co-operation he has been getting and hope that will continuously translate to good results.

His club is currently third on the log in the Nigerian elite league, Makaiba said his team has not given up on winning the league title.

Under him, the club has been making steady rise and his players’ profile also continue to grow.

Makaiba, who had handled Enyimba and Wikki Tourists in the past had this year won the League Bloggers’ Award.
