The Lafia City Stadium will come alive again when Nasarawa United play host to third-placed Enyimba as the Nigerian elite league gets into 25th week.

Having lost their last game away to Remo Stars, Nasarawa United will want to put the defeat aside by getting the full points against the two- time African Champions who defeated local rivals Abia Warriors with talismanic Captain Mfon Udoh scoring both goals to hand the Aba warlords the three points in their last game.

In a chat with www.nasarawasportgist.com Enyimba‘s defender Isiaka Olagundoye said his team is in Lafia for the maximum points noting that they are aware of the threat the home team will pose.

“We know Nasarawa United to be a very formidable team but that will only spur us to go for the three points”, he said.

Nasarawa United’s skipper on the other hand believes Enyimba stands no chance against the Coach Kabir Dogo-tutored side heading into the game.

“Right now all we want is to finish up the elephants by taking them to the cleaners on Sunday. You know I love pepper soup”, he concluded. Enyimba in Igbo language means elephant.

Nasarawa United will welcome back leading scorer Adamu Hassan having missed the game against Remo stars in Sagamu due to injury.

Enyimba will rely heavily on the form of Captain Mfon Udoh to lead the attack with former Nasarawa United players in Ugochukwu Leonard, Samson Gbadebo and Lordson Ichull all in contention for a starting berth in Lafia.
