Only three players are still expected to join the Super Eagles camp in Uyo as at Monday evening. The media officer to the team, Toyin Ibitoye informed Sports Village Square that 21 players were already in camp.

Half of the players found their ways to the Uyo camp from their various locations in Nigeria after they were given time off following the intensive camping they had in France.

Ibitoye said about 12 team members and technical crew flew from Abuja in the morning. The trio that will join the cam on Tuesday are Elderson Echiejile, Ahmed Musa and Kenneth Omeruo.

The prompt response to camp is expected to please team handler, Gernot Rohr who last September in an interview with FIFA weekly publication “FIFA 1904”, expressed a major concern on African players response to camp invitations.

The Franco German who had coached African teams like Gabon, Niger and Burkina Faso remarked: “punctuality is not their strong point. My challenge is to find a diplomatic way that works”.
