Remo Stars Continue Relegation Battle, Host Gombe United

Remo Stars Football Club will on Sunday trade tackle with Gombe United in one of the Match Day 22 fixtures in the Nigeria Professional Football League scheduled to take place at the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu.
The reverse fixture which was played at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe saw the Sky Blue Stars displayed 2-1 in Match Day 2 of the league.
Captain Victor Mbaoma got the first goal from a free kick in the early twenty minutes of the game, an own goal saw the game levelled before Fabason Djoufouna got the winning goal for the Savannah Scorpions in the last minute of the game.
Last weekend, the Sky Blue Stars were unlucky at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to the current leaders of Nigeria Professional League.
Osho’s men are really prepared for this encounter to boost their morale going into the remaining games in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Gombe United got massive points through Idris Bakare’s 43rd minute strike to defeat Katsina United 1-0 at their backyard in Match Day 21 of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
A win for the home side will see them begin their fight to escape relegation. Meanwhile, the Sky Blue Stars are 20th on the log with 19 points while the Savannah Scorpions are 16th with 26 points.
