Iheanacho’s Penalty Kick Saves Eagles’ Face
As it was in the last friendly match in March against Senegal, the Super Eagles had to leave it very late to get a 1-1 draw in a practice match with Corsica, one of the 13 regions of France.
As it was two months ago, it was a penalty kick converted by Kelechi Iheanacho that saved Nigeria’s face.
Corsica had taken the lead early in the first half via a penalty kick. Debutant defender, Tyrone Ebuehi handled the ball in the penalty box leading to the penalty kick converted by Jean-Jacques Mandrichi,
Nigeria’s next friendly match before the Africa Cup of Nations’ duel will be on Thursday.
