Shooting Stars’ Coaches Promise Better Performance

Still smarting from the heavy home defeat of last Sunday, the technical crew of the Shooting Stars Tuesday had a meeting with the club’s management and accepted blames for the 0-3 home loss to IfeanyiUbah.

The technical crew comprising Fatai Amoo, Edith Agoye and Lati Yussuf however promised an improved performance in the league. Shooting Stars are deeply in the relegation waters, placing 19th in a log of 20.

Their next match is an away tie against seventh placed Lobi Stars of Makurdi. Tuesday’s emergency meeting was called at the main office of the Oyo State Ministry of Youth and Sports to appraise the team’s 0-3 home loss to visiting FC IfeanyiUbah.

At the meeting were the Oyo State sports commissioner, Abayomi Oke, the club’s chairman, Gbolagade Busari and the General Manager, Rashidi Balogun.  The coaches disclosed that they had re-assessed the match and discovered the lapses in the team with a view to working on the grey areas for better outings in subsequent matches.

Also, the coaches appealed to the disappointing home fans and supporters with an assurance that the team would strive hard to maintain perfect records during its home and away matches.
