Determination is written all over the faces of most Remo Star players as the Nigerian premier league resumes on Sunday. Remo Stars are currently bottom placed, making the players to realise the Herculean work to be performed to avoid the drop to the lower division.

Rarely do teams at the bottom of the league at the end of first stanza escape relegation. But Remo Stars are desirous of a turn around, hence the grim determination by the players, especially the forwards.

One of them, Nurudeen Ibrahim is keen on making a major impact for the Sky Blue Stars.

The strong attacker was only able to secure few minutes of action in the first half of the season and has indicated his readiness to ensure he gets more games under his belt.

“It’s frustrating for any footballer when you are not playing most especially when your team is in difficult situations.  You always feel you can do something to help the team while watching.

“Now am keen on ensuring I get into the team  that plays weekly and help the team to a better standing.

“I got myself into personal training during the short break to ensure my fitness level is on a good side. My target is to get at least a minimum of 10 games this half and hopefully get goals to complement my efforts.”
