Olosunde May be First Nigerian extraction in Man.U

Philadelphia born Nigerian youngster, Mathew Olawale Olosunde, may have the chance of projecting himself in the English Premiership if fielded among the youngsters Jose Mourinho planned to feature on Sunday in the match with Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

The manager has indicated that he will field largely youngsters in their last home game of the season as he needs to rest the regulars for the more challenging Europa Cup final in Stockholm on Wednesday.

Sports Village Square gathered from The Guardian of London that most of the established players will be rested.

According to the newspaper, Mourinho said: “I will bring three or four of the first-team players, to play one half each one against Palace. I can give a little bit of experience to the team but, at the same time, save them all for Wednesday.

Mourinho named the youngsters who will face Palace. “You will have two goalkeepers, Joel Pereira and Kieran O’Hara; we will have Demetri Mitchell, Scott McTominay, Josh Harrop, Matthew Willock, Angel Gomes and Zachary Dearnley. I think that’s it, plus Fosu-Mensah, Axel Tuanzebe, so lots of them.”

If Olosunde is fielded, he might be the first player with Nigerian connection to play for Manchester United.  He featured for the United States under 17 side beaten 2-0 by the Golden Eaglets at Chile 2015.

At the time, he was featuring for the New York Red Bull before Manchester United signed him.
