Dimeji Lawal Optimistic of 3SC Rejuvenation

Despite winning just five matches out of 19 during the first stanza of the Nigerian Premier League season, former Nigerian international, Dimeji Lawal has predicted an impressive season for Shooting Stars of Ibadan as the second stanza of the league is set to begin.

Lawal, a former Golden Eaglets’ ace who once featured for the club remarked that top officials of the club are currently working on the lapses of the once great club to ensure a top 10 finish at the end of the season.

Lawal in a telephone interview with told the Sports Village Square that it would be disastrous to see the club relegated again.

“The management team and the technical crew are working hard to make sure we finish on a top note. We are currently making all things possible not to lose the confidence of our fans.

“We can’t wait for the second stanza to resume. The tension is high, we have signed some players during the transfer window and I promise you we shall surprised our fans when the league resume,” he assured.
