Super Eagles’ new invitee, Sikiru Olatunbosun, said he will not leave anything to chances as he promised to prove his worth when the Super Eagles camp opens in Corsica later this month.

The lad who is one of the quartet of home boys invited promised to rekindle the form that saw him score a goal that earned him the CNN Goal of the Week last March.

He remained the only player in the Nigerian league to have been so honoured.

The Lagos MFM striker in a whatsapp chat with Sports Village Square correspondent said he read to give all his best and break into the main stream Super Eagles’ squad.

“I am not intimidated by any foreign-based player. We are all footballers. The only different is where we showcase our talents. African soccer deals with physical ability and fast thinking faculty. I have what it takes to challenge any Europe-based player for striking position.

“I know my worth and am sure I will deliver when the time comes. It is certain the fans will clamour for the Europe-based stars, but that won’t move me at all.

“I have faced big crowd in my quest for greatness. So there is no stage fright for me.

“I am also aware of the discrimination that occurs among the foreign and home based player in Super Eagles camp but I won’t get scared of that. All I am thinking of his to make an impact.”
