Pinnick Takes Combined Roles of Hayatou, Anjorin

The influence Nigeria’s Amaju Pinnick wields in football administration continues to expand as he was on Monday in Manama, Bahrain named the chairman of two high profile committees of the Confederation of African Football, CAF.
It was at the inaugural meeting of the new CAF Executive Committee which held on the eve of the 67th FIFA Congress holding in Bahrain.
Coming on the heels of his recent appointment into FIFA Organising Committee of all competitions under FIFA, he is now to head the committee that organizes the Africa’s premier football competition, the Africa Cup of Nations.
The committee was previously headed by former CAF president, Issa Hayatou. In addition, Pinnick will head the Media Committee of CAF, a position previously held by Benin Republic’s Moucharafou Anjorin, the man Amaju Pinnick defeated to become a CAF Executive Committee member.
Also, Ghana Football Association president, Kwesi Nyantakyi was named 1st Vice President and Congolese Constant Omari the second Vice President of CAF respectively.
SAFA President, Danny Jordaan is chairman of Marketing and TV Committee of CAF, while former Zambia FA President and African football legend, Kalusha Bwalya is chairman of CAF Technical and Development committee.
