Coaches of the various Nigerian national teams will soon have cause to sing the popular song of famous Nigerian musician, Korede Bello.
The ground breaking partnership the NFF on Wednesday had with the Aiteo Group will set the coaches to sing Korede Bello’s “I don get alert, na God win”. This is sequel to the fact that the NFF is now set to pay all their outstanding salaries.
A source in the NFF offices informed www.sportsvillagesquare.com that the body has already collated account details of all the coaches and will use the next few days to calculate all their outstanding wages, before the money will be paid into their various bank accounts hopefully by next week.
Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, is number one in the list followed by his three assistants, goalkeeper trainer and other backroom staffs.
Others on the list of beneficiaries are U-20 national team coach, Emmanuel Amuneke and all his backroom staff, the U-17 coach, Manu Garba, and all his backroom staff and coaches of the various women national teams and their backroom staff.
Coach Adamu Ejoor of the national beach soccer team is not left out of the list same as the NFF technical director, Bitrus Bewerang who has continued to work without salaries ever since his appointment close to two years ago.
Unfortunately, most of these coaches will have their various contracts with the Nigeria football federation terminated after this exercise is concluded as the NFF has started shopping for fresh hands to replace the aging and less productive coaches on their payroll.
