Bale Fit For El Clasico

Published

Gareth Bale is in line to start in Sunday’s El Clasico. The Welshman limped out of Los Blancos’ victory over Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions
League quarter-final tie last week.
He missed last Saturday’s win over Sporting Gijon and the return leg against Bayern, which saw Real book their place in the last four after extra time.
Bale was back in training earlier this week and came through Saturday’s session unscathed.
He is expected to come straight back into the Real starting line-up with Zinedine Zidane confirming he will be in the squad.
Injuries have restricted Bale to just 18 La Liga appearances so far this season, in which he has seven goals.
Sunday’s clash will go a long way to deciding the destiny of the Spanish league title – particularly if Real claim victory.
They currently sit three points clear of Barca with a game in hand, but would fall to second place on goal difference should the Catalans win in the capital.
