NFF, Super Eagles Players Mourn Ehiogu

As tributes continue to pour in for Ugo Ehiogu, the former England and Aston Villa defender who is believed to be of Nigerian extraction, some Super Eagles’ players have also paid their respects through tweets. Goalkeeper Carl Ikeme through his twitter handle wrote: “Such sad news about Ugo, thoughts and prayers are with his family.”
Also another Nigerian player, William Troost-Ekong twitted: “So sad to wake up to the news about Ugo. Great coach and a man that encouraged me so much.
“My thoughts are with your family and friends. RIP”.
Also, the Nigeria Football Federation through its official handle also sent condolences. “Our thoughts are with the family of Nigerian-born former @England player, @UgoEhiogu who passed on earlier today. May his soul Rest in Peace”
Ehiogu had Nigerian roots but played for England.
