FG, NFF Condole Families Over Football Tragedy
The Federal Government of Nigeria through its verified tweeter handle on Friday expressed its condolences to the families of football fans who died at a viewing centre in Calabar on Thursday night.
The message read: “Our heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Cross River State, on the viewing centre tragedy in Calabar yesterday.”
The Nigeria Football Federation also sent similar condolences through its twitter handle. It reads: “Our thoughts and prayers go out to football fans who died while watching a Europa League game at a viewing centre yesterday in Calabar.”
The NFF had earlier sent another condolence message over the dead of Ugo Ehiogu, a Nigerian-born England ex-international.
