Ehiogu Hails From Abia State, Nigeria

The former England and Aston Villa defender who died Friday morning in UK, Ugo Ehiogu, hailed from Amafor Isingwu in Umuahia Local Government Area of Abia State, south-eastern Nigeria.
Former Director of Sports in Abia State and an avid football historian, Ejikeme Ikwunze informed sportsVillagesquare.com. The Nigerian roots of the former international qualified him to feature for the country, but he opted for England where he was born on November 3, 1972.
