Akwa United’s Players on Break

With the Nigerian league at half time, the management of Akwa United has given its players a week mid season break.

The break commenced on Thursday and the players return to camp on Tuesday April 25th while training will resumes next day at 8:00am.

Briefing the team after their 2-0 victory over MFM of Lagos, the Technical Adviser, Abdu Maikaba, advised the players to be of good conduct while maintaining a disciplinary life style.

Coach Maikaba encouraged the players to engage in individual training and keep fit exercises which according to him, would help them to return to camp in good shape.

The Technical Adviser who urged the players not to abuse the concession granted them by the management of the club, however called on the players to concentrate on how to come back strong for the second stanza of the league season.

The coach commended the team for her impressive performances in the first stanza of the season which has seen them move up to occupy the fifth position on the NPFL table.
