Nasarawa United On A Mission Against ABS
BY ADAMS JESSE.
The Kwara State Stadium complex hosts the Nigerian Professional Football League encounter between host Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC and Nasarawa United.
After taking the league by storm with their heartbreaking performances the Saraki boys have lost the steam at which they started with. A solitary point from a possible nine is a poor return from the team.
The “Solid Miners,” as Nasarawa United are widely known, have hit a rich vein of form of late going five games without a defeat. They will come against a team they are familiar with at a ground that has been a good hunting ground of recent having defeated Kwara United some seasons back.
The likes of Suraj Ayeleso, Abdulrahman Bashir, Aminu Kadir, Ismaila Dogo, Abdulkadir Bolaji, Thomas Zenke, Seun Sogbeson and head coach Kabir Dogo will be facing a team that gave them their bow in the NPFL some seasons back.
The last time both teams met in Ilorin ABS FC came tops with a goal to nothing.
“I am very positive we will defeat ABS in Ilorin although I have a soft spot for the team and I still support them, but Nasarawa United pays my bills and will have to act as a professional”, says Bashir Abdulrahman.
ABS are 13th on the log with 22 points from 17 games while the “Solid Miners” are on seventh with 24 points from same number of games.
