CAF General Secretary Quits

The proposed changes in the Confederation of African Football, CAF, that Nigeria’s Amaju Pinnick exclusively told Village Sports Village may have begun in earnest. Last week, the executive committee member said a lot of changes will be effected in the continental body.

The head of administration of the body, Hicham El Amrani, on Sunday resigned. This is coming just few days after his former boss; Issa Hayatou was ousted at the 39th Ordinary General Assembly of CAF.

El Amrani, in a letter to African football associations, said he would be departing on Monday, but gave no reason for his decision.
The 37-year-old Moroccan had served as secretary general for the last six years.
