Hayatou Leaves For Home

The Prince of Garoua and erstwhile President of CAF and one-time FIFA president, Issa Hayatou, left Addis Ababa Saturday morning for Yaoundé, Cameroon.

He was seen off with grace and splendour by a handful of former CAF executive committee members and accompanied on his flight home to Cameroon by his wife and other members of his household including his son.

Hayatou a titan in African football administration had warm handshakes with those around at the Sheraton Hotel Addis Ababa by 7.00 am before leaving for the VIP lodge of the Bole International Airport.

His flight to Yaoundé was scheduled for 9.00 am, a departure that will also mark the end of the 39th CAF General Assembly as well as his long reign at the head of African football.
