BY KUNLE SOLAJA.
The President AIPS Africa, Mitchell Obi has hailed Issa Hayatou for his contribution to the development of football in Africa. He also congratulated the new helmsman, Ahmad of Madagascar.
He remarked that “AIPS Africa is a recognized statutory partner of CAF and knowing the strength of today’s media and the value which the body of African sports journalists can bring to bear in the change agenda we are looking ahead to a level of cooperation that will be beneficial to all stakeholders of the game and bring joy to all those who love the African game.
“Whilst we salute the immense and monumental contribution of the outgoing president Issa Hayatou it is also a fitting opportunity to congratulate Ahmad Ahmad for a well fought victory and for his avowed commitment to return the game to the people which includes all the sports journalists in the continent who have in different measure made this Election Day memorable
