Ahmad Promises New Face For CAF

Ahmad, the Madagascan new president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Thursday paid glowing tributes to his predecessor, Issa Hayatou while making his acceptance speech at the end of the dramatic election that swept out the old order.

  Thanking all those who made his election possible, he pledged to stay faithful and committed to the promises and pledge he made while campaigning.

Sports Village Square gathered that the new CAF president specially thanked the FIFA President, Gianni Infantino and General Secretary, Fatma Samba Diouf Samoura, for the support he got from them.

He remarked that what he pleased him most was the success of democratic process in Africa.”We need real representatives of the media devoid of nepotism and favouritism”, remarked.

He promised to conduct a stock taking of CAF and also have a meeting with the new executive committee members.
