Champions League: Barca Risks First Quarter Finals Miss In 10 years

Wednesday’s Champions’ League clash of FC Barcelona and Paris Saint Germaine throws up a major puzzle.
Can Lionel Messi achieve a previous feat he did when he became the first player to score five goals in FC Barcelona’s 7-1 triumph against Bayer 04 Leverkusen exactly five years ago?
Should that happen and if his team is able to keep a clean sheet, FC Barcelona may be on their way to the quarter finals.
It is a difficult task. But three teams in distant past have managed to cancel four goal deficit.
But it still remains a tough job as no side in the UEFA Champions League has ever gone through after losing the first game 4-0. Should Barcelona succeed on Wednesday, it will be reaching the quarter finals for a record 10th successive season.
The biggest losing margin a side has overhauled was achieved by RC Deportivo La Coruña in the 2003/04 quarterfinals when they went down 4-1 at AC Milan but won 4-0 at home.
