Kano Pillars Crumble Enyimba

Gambo Mohammed scores late to seal 3points for 10 man Kano Pillars at the Sanni Abacha stadium, Kano.

Pillars took a deserved lead in the 24th minutes when Kabir Balogun’s deflected effort beats Theo Afelokai in goal for Enyimba fc.

Ibrahim Mohammed, Ibenegbu and StephenChukwude came close for the people’s elephant but met a hard nut to crack in Isah Danladi in goal for Pillars. The first half ended one goal to nil for Pillars.

The second half came to live when Kabir Balogun scores his second from an inche perfect cross deep from Pillars half from Bala Zaka, leaving Theofelious Afelokai helpless in the 62nd minutes.

Three minutes later Emmanuel Anyanwu gifted Enyimba a spot kick after he handled the ball in the danger area with center Ref Adebimpe FIFA gave former Enyimba captain Chinedu Udoji his marching order after indesence from the player to reduce Pillars to 10 men.

Stephen Chukwude stepped up to send Danladi Isah the wrong way to give Enyimba a glimmer of hope in the 68th minutes.

As expected Enyimba mounted late pressure to secure at least a point from the game with the introduction of Ismaila Gata, Joe Osadieye and Andrew Abalogu but it was Nigerian International Gambo Mohammed that escapes the offside trap to tap in from his rebound after his initial effort crashed against the goal post to seal all 3 points for Kano Pillars on the stroke of full time.
