400 Set For GTBank Ogun Principals’ Cup
The Season 5 of the GTBank Principals Cup in Ogun State will kick off on Monday. About 400 schools are expected to participate.
Speaking at a media parley on Thursday in Abeokuta, GTBank Corporate and Social Responsibility Officer, Mrs Tolulope Onipede assured that the financial institution is committed to assist the students to realise their dreams through sports.
“GTBank has created a worthwhile platform which the students should make good use of. Because it is not all of them that would become professional players but they can be sport journalists and administrators in the future.
“Let me also assure you that we would continue to invest in the students in order to discover more talented players for the state and the country,” she assured.
A total of one hundred balls, goal post nets and corner flags were presented to schools to enhance sport development in the state.
In his response, the Commissioner for Sports, Ogun State, Moroof Afolabi Afuape, commended for their role at youth development.
“We appreciate the role of GTBank in creating excitements among schools in the state. Government alone cannot do it so we implore other corporate organizations to emulate GTBank.”
