UEFA Champions League: Musa targets victory against Sevilla
Leicester City on Wednesday face Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 with Super Eagles forward Ahmed Musa underlining the value of playing in Europe’s platinum competition.
Having already performed brilliantly in the group stages, the Foxes face their toughest task yet against a highly-respected Sevilla side that won the Europa Cup last season.
For Musa, competing against some of Europe’s elite outfits can only be positive for the Foxes, who according to the Nigeria international, head to southern Spain with the aim of beating Jorge Sampaoli’s men.
“We are going there to do our best,” Musa said ahead of the fixture. “I think with the confidence we have with the boys at training ground, we are going to go there and play very well. If we can win there, I think the confidence will be back.
Musa also revealed to the club’s website that Leicester City will fight to win the away leg and make the return leg a comfortable tie.
“It is a very good experience. It is one of the tournaments people want to play in. For the group, we are happy to be in next round. We are working very hard to try to go there and win.
“We have to focus on the Champions League because we know that is very important for the team.”
