Good Start for Rivers United

Nigeria’s flag bearer, Rivers United continued the spate of good results posted by Nigerian clubs at the continent over the weekend as they forced their hosts, AS Real Bamako to a goalless draw on Saturday.

Enugu Rangers had earlier played a 1-1 draw with JS Saoura of Algeria on Friday night.

The result meant that the two Nigerian clubs have the advantage of consolidating at home in the return legs and advance into the next round.

Rivers United also maintained the good results Nigerian clubs have been having in away ties with AS Real Bamako.
